I typically blog whatever- whenever.. I am never set on any one topic.. I avoid politics and religion, due to the fact no one will see those two in the same light or ever agree to disagree peacefully..
When I create my Vine I expect others to have differing opinions and to have opposing opinions. I don't care if you are right, left, wrong, fast, slow, under-educated, over-educated. However, when I moderate my vines- I hold everyone to the same standards. I don't care if you have the same opinion as I do, I hold everyone to the same set because I would become a hypocrite.
My dear friend turned me on to the user created seeds and vines instead of www.nbcnews.com articles, because typically you can find users that have the same opinions and same thoughts as you the blogger has. That way you can avoid the people you know you are going to disagree with.. I have friends on newvine that have totally opposite views and we became friends because we could debate our points, fight our points, and move on without a name calling incident or anger..
Today I found the give me respect because I owe you none mentality with a private viner that I had posted to prior to writing this article.. Apparently they allow trolls to continue to create anger and animosity by posting their own seed but then giving them the epic power of the delete button to violate others right to free speech and opposing opinions, under the guise that it's insulting. She deleted anyone that mentioned left wings but allowed anyone to post about insults to right wings. She went as far to tell me I was from the right because I misspelled her name.. Continued to allow people to call others stupid and deleted anyone that commented with a retort that had an opposing opinion.
I also find it disparaging when I read a person's seed and find that it is skewed and it has half the story to make it a better story.. One could argue that is part of the blogging world, however, if you ever attend a writing class the instructors and professors will tell you that it is extremely poor journalism, edging on the side of propaganda.
If anyone reads blogs, please always read the full story before you come to the forum to debate with other bloggers that have read the actual story.. I have done that one time on here and learned a quick lesson.. The seeder made people look like morons trying to base an opinion strictly off of misinformation. If I question the validity of an article I will always look for other sources to pull information from and how reputable the sources are..
